Deron Cook is an Ohio-based registered U.S. Patent Attorney who earned his Bachelor of Chemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology from The University of Michigan in 1996; studied as a Master’s Degree student in Epidemiology at Michigan State University in 1997, and obtained a Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin School of Law in 2000, where he was also on Moot Court.
His practice includes prosecution of U.S. and foreign patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
Prior to working with Emerson Thomson Bennett, Deron worked for over 10 years as in-house intellectual property attorney at The Sherwin-Williams Company in Cleveland, Ohio and The Lubrizol Corporation in Wickliffe, Ohio. Prior to his period of work in-house, Deron was an intellectual property associate at Emerson & Skeriotis and Brouse McDowell.
