Sergey Vernyuk is an Ohio-based registered U.S. Patent Attorney who earned his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University in 2003; Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, also from Cleveland State University, in 2004; and Juris Doctorate, second in his class, from the University of Akron School of Law in 2012, where he was also on Law Review.
His practice includes litigating intellectual property issues and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
Prior to working with Emerson Thomson Bennett, Sergey worked with a law firm in Albany, New York, and with an intellectual property law firm in Cleveland, Ohio, in addition to interning with a federal appellate judge. Sergey has significant experience working in industry as an electrical engineer, including positions with the RoviSys Company in Aurora, Ohio, and with Intertek, based in the Twinsburg, Ohio, office.
