Roger Emerson is a US Patent Attorney who earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, cum laude, from The University of Akron, earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from The University of Akron School of Law, and attended Case Western Reserve University for classes toward an MBA.

Roger worked as a mechanical engineer for ten years for The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, working in the areas of plant construction, machine design, process engineering, and product design.

Roger has worked in a Cleveland intellectual property boutique, as an in-house corporate attorney for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.  Roger helped found Emerson Thomson Bennett in 2008.  The firm has won several awards, including two Weatherhead School of Management “Weatherhead 100” awards for business growth and a Founding Firm Award from the Ohio Patent Pro Bono Program. 

Roger has been named a Super Lawyer and an Outstanding Alumni of the University of Akron School of Law and also by the University of Akron Honors College.
